Illinois law requires that Election Judges be assigned to represent either the Democratic or Republican Party. Your selection indicates your party affiliation, which should be supported by your voting history. The Kane County Clerk's Election Department may check your voting history in primary elections to verify your party affiliation. We recognize there are many judges who do not align themselves with either party, however in order to fairly represent both parties in the polling place, election judges must indicate the party they identify with the closest, given their voting history.
